We would love to tell a full romantic story about how we met each other. But, in reality, both of us had Hinge accounts. A like on a photo by Matt, with a return like on a photo by Morgan lead to us going out on our first date at The Rowhouse Grille (which is no longer there) on December 7, 2018. After a year of going on dates and hanging out, Matt decided to make the move to ask if we could be an official couple. Of course Morgan said yes!

The first weekend in March, Morgan's mom, Donna's, favorite Journey cover band was playing at a local bar and Morgan asked everyone if they wanted to go see it. This set the scene perfectly for the weekend. Matt and Marley, Morgan's sister, had seen previously that a local ice cream shop had done a "Stuff Your Stanley" event where you can get four scoops of ice cream in your Stanley cup for $10, and knowing Morgan is a sucker for ice cream, they knew this would be a good cover. So, Marley sent the family group chat a photoshopped flyer for a "Stuff Your Stanley" event, and asked if anyone wanted to go to dinner, get their Stanley full of ice cream, then head to the cover band. Morgan responded "yes" and the plan was officially in motion. They get to Havre de Grace and decide to park near the lighthouse, and told Morgan they'll just walk to dinner. Instead, they stopped at the lighthouse, Matt apologized for there not being ice cream, got down on one knee, and asked Morgan to marry him. She of course said yes! They then headed to a local bar and Morgan was surprised by all of their friends and family there to celebrate their engagement.
