This story begins as the era of COVID isolation began to wind down. The times were tough; masks were a bug, not a feature, people that dared to sneeze were judged with scorn and fear, and friends resorted to the internet for all needs food and social. That's where Gerald and Morgan connected; in the wonderful world of Warcraft.

Gerald may have thought the chatter in the group was just "spicy", but Morgan had another plan. She lured him out to the woods of Dinosaur Valley State Park near Waco, Texas, led him through twisty hikes and chilly waters, and did the unexpected: held hands with him.

The two could not be more different; where Gerald is cool, Morgan is hot. Where he is calm, she has the next four months planned out. And yet, despite living an hour apart, romance soon blossomed into something real and very much fitting.
