Our story begins when two individuals begin texting each other and trying to awkwardly get to know each other. Joshua then goes in for the kill and asks the beautiful lady if she would get coffee with him. This was an interesting start, as she kindly rejects him saying that she does not know him well enough. Joshua then becomes witty and says that she needs to facetime him then, so they could get to know each other. In Joshua’s head, he never thought this would work, and figured she would stop talking to him. To his surprise, she immediately said yes and offered to facetime. This is when Joshua began to sweat and not know how to breathe. She then pressed the call button and changed Morgan and Joshua’s lives forever. In this call, blushing ensued, each of them began telling facts about themselves, and Joshua began playing the piano to try and win this beautiful girl over. After about 4 hours of talking and laughing, they finally ended the facetime at about 2:00 AM, but not before Joshua braved the waters again and asked Morgan on a date to El Sombrero in Statesboro, GA. She finally said yes and we made the plan to meet in person.

This date starts when Joshua goes to Food Lion to get a bouquet of flowers to impress Morgan. He shows up with the bouquet and knocks on the door. A sudden shock overcame him when the door opened and Morgan was standing there already looking awkward. She thanked him for the flowers and then immediately gave them to her roommate Rebecca. She then said let's go as she closed the door behind her.

On their way to the restaurant, Joshua kept noticing that Morgan was staring at him as he drove. This scared Joshua, and he began to feel more nervous about the way he looked. We arrived at El Sombrero and we were seated in front of each other at a booth at the back of the restaurant. As we sat awkwardly, Morgan was too nervous to eat, and Joshua ate too much as usual. Not too much conversation had taken place at first, but they began to become more relaxed once they were there for a while. They both ordered the Texas Fajita Nachos, and it was the correct choice as it always is. After about another four hours, and many conversations later, they felt that they should leave since the waitress kept asking them if they were okay. They were way more than okay. They were having an amazing time and felt like they were best friends after only one date.

This was just the beginning of the adventure of Joshua Smith and Morgan Kirkland. From that point till now when I am writing this, they will go on so many amazing adventures, drives, and walks together. Even when they were long distance for almost two years, their love and determination to see each other was as strong as ever. Finally, after meeting and waiting 3 years, 2 months, and 9 days these two best friends will be married on March 23rd, 2024. Then they can go on an unlimited number of adventures till the end of time. Through hard times and good, Joshua and Morgan will prevail and never fail. They are forever.
