Our Wedding

Each summer seems to have some sort of theme that arises throughout the course of three months. The theme of the 2024 summer seemed to become "tornadoes". In early June, David did something that he said he would never do: download an online dating app. Though he insists this isn't a paid advertisement for Hinge, he'll admit -- Hinge works. Within a couple of weeks, the tornado that is Morgan Kranz had swept into his life, and he knew things were never going to be the same. Our first date was set for a Minnesota Twins game. Morgan responsibly suggested Wednesday because she was aware of the upcoming weather forecast. David, on the other hand, was busy that day and didn't bother checking the weather, so he suggested Tuesday. Morgan warned him the weather might not be great, but neither of us wanted to wait much longer to meet. We decided to send it anyways. The Minnesota Twins had the same "send it" attitude. Despite predictions of thunderstorms and (get this) a tornado that night, the ball club decided to try and squeeze in the game. We met at Target Field that night; and in tornado-like fashion, things took off. After sitting and talking together for a six hour baseball game that featured a two hour long weather delay, it become clear to both of us that this was going to be the person we would be watching baseball together with for the rest of our lives. The Twins won the game on a walk-off single, and that was the only good omen we needed as we left that night. Since that stormy night in June, our love story has been nothing short of a whirlwind (more tornado humor). It only took us a handful of months to know that we wanted to spend our lives together, At the end of November, we made it official. Morgan had flown out to California to be with her family. Little did she know, David and his parents also made the trip. Morgan's brother, sister-in-law, and two cousins took her on a hike beside the ocean and led her to the top of the ridge where David was waiting. Although everyone assured David that California weather was always perfect, that day turned out to be rainy and misty throughout the hike. As David proposed, he told Morgan it was fitting -- rain had been falling at Target Field the night we met, and now it was falling again as we committed to spending our lives together. We're both so incredibly thankful for the way the Lord brought us together and blessed us with this love story. Every day spent together is a blast. This past summer, two of our dates included seeing the movie Twisters -- not particularly significant, but felt like a perfect nod to our tornado-themed love story. We're so thankful for the love and support of our family and friends and would be honored to have you celebrate our marriage with us. See you there!
