Our Wedding

The year 2024 will always hold a special place in Adam and Morgan’s hearts. In October, Morgan attended a wedding in St. Louis, which happens to be where Adam was born. She went to her friend’s wedding with a co-worker, Erin, who also went to nursing school with Adam. Erin posted a photo with Morgan on Instagram after the wedding. Morgan caught the eye of Adam. He typed up a whole DM to Erin, asking “Who’s the girl in the red/pink flower dress?!” He ended up deleting the message thinking it was a pipe dream. But after some thought, he decided, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take and sent the message. He ended up getting in touch with Morgan and they went to get some coffee at Urban Prairie Coffee, one of Morgan’s favorite coffee shops in Kansas City. Adam and Morgan spent a few hours chatting and going for a walk near the coffee shop, although it only felt like they were there for a few minutes. After that, Adam and Morgan enjoyed going on dates around KC, meeting family and friends, and just having a blast with lots of laughs and enjoying each other’s company. But things really took off after a snowstorm for the ages. In January of 2025, KC got a very large snowstorm, nearly 12 inches of snow overnight. Both being night shift nurses, Adam and Morgan unfortunately worked the night of the major snowstorm. And it was still snowing after their shifts, so bad it was nearly blizzard conditions. Morgan was stuck at her work at Overland Park Regional. So, Adam drove from St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza to Overland Park Regional to get Morgan and bring her home from work. What normally should only be about a 20-minute drive, took nearly an hour. But the drive was totally worth it to go get the girl he cared so much about and make sure she was safe. At this point, Adam and Morgan both started to notice how much they cared about each other and how they both loved each other. Adam and Morgan never looked back after this point. Fast forward to the early spring, Morgan and her family invited Adam on a family trip to Florida in the summer. Adam thought what better place to propose to the woman of his dreams, as they both love beach vacations the most. Adam worked with Morgan’s parents, Cabrina and Mark, and her sisters’, Marianna and Mariella, along with his parents, Jenny and Todd, to plan the proposal on the beach. Before Adam and Morgan knew it, they were getting ready for the trip to Florida, the nerves were starting to ramp up a bit. Adam ended up checking his luggage so many times, double checking the ring was safe and still in his carry-on. The nervous energy was high on the day of the proposal. Adam and Morgan were able to enjoy a fun drink at the hotel cocktailbar, which was a great suggestion by Morgan, who had no clue that Adam used this time together to let her family get set up and hidden on the beach. The proposal went just as planned and was so memorable. There was a special touch on top. Adam asked Morgan to marry her in Italian, before also asking in English, just to be sure! Adam and Morgan cherish the photos from that day so much, as their photographer did such a great job capturing the moment. Del Ray Beach in Florida will always hold a special place in their heart! Adam and Morgan have enjoyed their engagement so much, from getting to plan their wedding, honeymoon to St. Lucia, and going to contract on their future home that is currently being built in Lenexa, KS! They cannot wait to celebrate their special day with family and friends, starting their lives together, and moving into their house! Love, Adam and Morgan
