OUR STORY

We met in high school through mutual friends, and we became friends very quickly; however, while we went our separate ways (her going to pursue her degrees from WKU and me going into the military), we still kept in contact. As we became swamped in our fields, we barely got to talk. In 2022, I found out that I was getting stationed in Korea and reached back out. This time, we hit it off once again. We would spend most nights FaceTiming and just catching up. Shortly after, as fate would have it, I would end up tearing my knee and having surgery. While recovering, I was told that I was no longer going to Korea and that I was going to Fort Campbell. Ecstatic, I FaceTimed Morgan and let her know that I was headed back home. From there, I would go home every weekend, and we would hang out if Morgan wasn't working. On our first date, we went to Texas Roadhouse. Afterwards, we went to the kissing bridge, me, not knowing there was a game the next morning, and us not wanting the night to end, stayed out until 2 a.m. After that night, we grew closer and closer. Three years later, I decided to ask Morgan to marry me in the most unplanned way possible. I hadn't told my parents or Morgan's parents where to be and what time to be there. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and she said yes. While this is just a snippet of our life, I am sure we will have more stories to share on the day of the wedding!
