McKinney has one of the oldest, most lovingly preserved, and largest historic districts in Texas. It is a quaint, nostalgic town with 120 unique shops including clothing boutiques, home décor shops, antiques, and local restaurants as well as other specialty shops!
We both spend a lot of time here so we wanted to provide you with a few of our favorites (all within walking distance from the hotel).
Restaurants:
Layered: (great coffee)
Harvest: (one of Morgan's favorites and where we went to eat the night we got engaged!) http://harvesttx.com
Rick's Chophouse: (known for their steak) https://www.rickschophouse.com
Local Yocal BBQ & Grill: If you go here make sure to go to their restaurant at 350 East Louisiana Street, not their local shop (which is also DT). https://localyocalbbqandgrill.com
The Yard: (great for groups who are looking for a casual outdoor setting with fun activities) https://www.yardtx.com
A wonderful spa downtown is The Rayfield & Co. Salon and Spa.
If you are not staying locally at the hotel in Downtown McKinney, then please let us know if you need any recommendations for where to stay, what to do and/or where to go to eat and drink! We want your visit to Texas to be memorable.
