Wes and I were introduced in December of 2017 by my Mom’s cousin Glenda, who has always been more like my aunt. Glenda and Wes’s mom, Leslie were college roommates and have remained best friends over the years. At our family Christmas Glenda was adamant that I meet Wes because he was such a good guy. I took his phone number from her and we texted and talked on the phone constantly for months because he was living at home in Heflin, Alabama and as I was in Acworth, Georgia. In February Wes finally asked me to go on a date with him and took me to the movies and saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. After the movie Wes asked me if I would go to prom with him and we have been together ever since. In the time we have been together we have been through many life events such as basic training and deployments for Wes along with me attending nursing school and starting my career. We have already become life partners and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us as husband and wife.
