Alex and Morgan’s Journey

After nearly a decade together, Alex and Morgan tied the knot in July 2023, motivated by Morgans upcoming medical challenges. They quickly married but are excited to share their special moment with friends and family through a handfasting ceremony.

Their love story began in 2018 when Morgan’s brother, also named Alex, introduced them. He jokingly showed Alex a photo of his sister, leading to a playful “slide into her DMs.” After texting back and forth, they finally met at Bubba’s restaurant while the military crew was having dinner. Their connection was instant, fueled by shared interests and their mutual experiences of escaping abusive relationships. They began dating immediately, spending every day together, and soon made the decision to move in together. This choice not only helped them save for a home but also allowed Morgan to become a full-time parental figure for their children.

Together, they are raising two wonderful children, Otto and Nova. In 2021, they purchased their first home, and in 2024, they decided to start their nonprofit animal rescue, “Fighters For Frenchies,” focusing on French bulldogs and special needs dogs. Morgan has been rescuing animals since 2013, and Alex has been her unwavering support, often seen behind-the-scenes snuggling fosters, transporting them, and purchasing needed supplies.

Otto and Nova are also actively involved in the rescue efforts. Nova has fostered multiple diaper cats and socializes kittens after Morgan bottle feeds them, while Otto shared his room for over a year with a senior diaper dog who became his best friend. When that dog was unable to sleep on his bed, Otto selflessly chose to sleep on the floor every night until the dog passed in October 2024. Their family cares for an army of diaper dogs that require round-the-clock attention, with hopes of one day having land for a sanctuary.

Outside of their rescue work, Alex serves full-time in the National Guard since 2014, working diligently to provide for his family. Together, they have built a loving home and a life dedicated to both their family and the animals they rescue.
