The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Maurice A. Ferré Park includes a world-class planetarium and aquarium, and is situated on four acres of beautiful bayfront land.

Frost Science stands out as one of only a few institutions worldwide to have both an aquarium and a planetarium in one museum. The North and West wings provide six floors of interactive exhibitions dedicated to the ecosystem of the Everglades.

The museum is located next to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), completing the vision of Maurice A. Ferré Park as a hub dedicated to science, art and culture in the heart of Downtown Miami. The PAMM made the move from a former location in Downtown Miami to its 200,000-square-foot landmark building designed by award-winning architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron.

Everglades National Park is an American national park that protects the southern twenty percent of the original Everglades in Florida. The park is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States and the largest wilderness of any kind east of the Mississippi River. An average of one million people visit the park each year. Everglades is the third-largest national park in the contiguous United States after Death Valley and Yellowstone.


Enjoy nature trails, rent a kayak to explore the everglades, or book airboat tours to see the wildlife.

Coral Castle

Coral Castle is an oolite limestone structure created by the Latvian-American eccentric Edward Leedskalnin (1887–1951). The structure comprises numerous large stones, each weighing several tons, sculpted into a variety of shapes, including slab walls, tables, chairs, a crescent moon, a water fountain and a sundial. It is currently a privately operated tourist attraction. Coral Castle is noted for legends surrounding its creation that claim it was built single-handedly by Leedskalnin using reverse magnetism or supernatural abilities to move and carve the stones.

The longest stretch of mangrove forest on Florida’s East Coast. The northernmost islands of the Florida Keys. Coral reefs that are part of the world’s third-largest coral barrier reef system. These incredible natural environments are all protected within Biscayne National Park (BNP), a wild sanctuary within eyeshot of downtown Miami.
