There are 3 ways to get to the island: From the United States, American Airlines is the only commercial airline to fly direct to Anguilla and offers 1 flight out of Miami each day. You can fly directly to Anguilla from Miami, Florida (3 hours, 25 minutes) and work with the resort to arrange land transportation to the resort, or work with any other driving service/rental car you opt for. This is by far the easiest way to get to the island.
Your next option is to fly direct to St. Maarten (Princess Juliana International Airport – Code SXM). Flying into St. Maarten usually offers the most flight times/options and best pricing. From St. Maarten you can take a quick 8-minute local flight to Anguilla via Anguilla Air Services. Anguilla Air Services streamlines your baggage pickup and guides you through the St. Maarten customs and immigration process, before getting you on your way to Anguilla.
Your last option is to take a sea shuttle from the St. Maarten airport dock to Anguilla. This is the most common way visitors get to the island. After arriving in Dutch St. Maarten, you can take a 25-minute, pre-arranged private or shared high-speed sea shuttle (sometimes called ‘private ferries’) to Anguilla’s Blowing Point Ferry Terminal. You’ll collect your baggage and go through St. Maarten’s customs and immigration. As you exit the airport, you’ll be greeted by the shuttle companies holding signs. Your shuttle rep will take you and your luggage across the street to the aqua dock to board the shuttle. You’ll enjoy a complimentary beer or rum punch on your ride over and an amazing view.
The hotel concierge can coordinate and/or recommend the appropriate shuttle time and book for you with popular vendors. Round trip is typically $140 to $180 per person.
You must book all transfers in advance or through the resort.
