Before Nick and Morgan’s story began, Morgan grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland and Nick spent his childhood in Syracuse, New York. At 18, Nick decided to join the Air Force and ended up being stationed in Maryland.

In 2021, while Morgan was in her first year of graduate school, she decided she wanted to enter the dating scene. As a result, she created an online dating profile and matched with Nick on Bumble. Morgan and Nick connected instantly and were eager to meet each other for the first time. For their first date, Morgan and Nick met at Panera Bread and bonded through talking about their interests and shared faith. They went on several more dates, and it became clear that they were both looking for something serious. On September 16, 2021, they made their relationship official.

Over the next few months, Morgan and Nick met each other’s friends and family. In April 2022, Morgan and Nick had the honor of attending Morgan’s twin sister, Taylor’s, wedding. Interestingly, it was at this event that Morgan caught the bouquet!

Nick and Morgan eventually had to deal with the challenges of long-distance when Morgan moved to Houston, Texas to complete a 4-month internship in the summer of 2022. Despite the difficulty of being apart, it was during this time that Morgan and Nick began discussing their desire to pursue marriage.

Once Morgan returned home from Houston, they enjoyed many moments together as they continued to grow in their bond with friends, family, and each other. On April 14, 2023, Nick took Morgan's family out to dinner to ask for Morgan's hand in marriage, and they accepted him into the Sigur family. On June 10, 2023, Nick proposed to Morgan while they were picnicking at the Shrine of St. Anthony. And as the saying goes, the rest is history!
