On January 12, 2019, they officially began dating. Despite the distance between Maryland and Virginia, Nick and Morgan made their relationship work. Nick frequently drove up to Maryland on weekends to be with Morgan, and she visited him and his family in Virginia whenever she could. They balanced time between each other, their families, and friends, savoring every moment together despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship.

By November 2020, Morgan decided to take the leap and move to Virginia to live with Nick. They were so deeply in love that they couldn’t wait any longer to start their lives together under one roof.

Fast forward to December 2024, after six wonderful years of building their life together, Nick planned a romantic getaway to Williamsburg, Virginia, during the holiday season. Morgan had always wanted to see Williamsburg at Christmastime, and Nick knew this was the perfect setting for a proposal.

After hours of searching, Nick shifted to plan B: a drive-through Christmas light display. But to his dismay, there wasn’t a good spot to pull over and propose.
