Where did Morgan and Colin's story begin? Was it in high school or even before that? Morgan and Colin have a history that spans many, many years. From the days when Colin would ride skateboards down Morgan's street in their youth, to bonding over youth group and braving a freezing polar plunge together. They shared interesting conversations at high school dances and even took a weights class together. And finally, Morgan agreed to go on that first date with Colin, a decision that didn't take much convincing at all.

Their first date took place back in January 2018. Colin made the mistake of letting Morgan choose where to eat, and she picked Applebee's. They jokingly referred to their experience there as walking into "Senior Bingo Night," as they were the youngest patrons by at least 50 years. After dinner, Colin took Morgan to his family's property to gaze at the stars away from the bright lights of St. Joseph. That night marked the beginning of many more years spent together, navigating through graduations, changes in degrees for Morgan, and new hobbies and career advancements for Colin.

Colin used to playfully ask Morgan every night, "Will you marry me?" Her response was always the same - "Where's my ring, and did you talk to my dad?" This went on for about two years until one evening, Colin came home, and while lying on the couch together, he asked, "Will you marry me?" Morgan, true to form, asked about the ring and her dad. To her surprise, Colin got down on one knee and replied, "Just left your parents' house, so yes," as he presented her with a ring.
