Their story began at the University of Florida, where Morgan and David were members of the Gator Marching Band. From the beginning, they heard stories of the notorious “Gator Band Soul Mates”: a fate to meet your significant other. Though they had doubts of this legend, they would soon meet one fateful night.

Morgan was a baton twirler in a group called the Gatorettes while David played the Baritone.

During the fall football season of 2018 the band planned a “Queen” themed halftime show and held auditions for male band members to swing dance with the Gatorettes. Though David originally had no intentions to audition, a friend convinced him to give it a shot. Morgan, on the other hand, was running late to practice but eventually arrived to the Steinbrenner Band Hall. After rounds of auditions, Morgan was finally paired with David.

You could say it was "love at first sight". They practiced together every band practice and grew to really connect with each other.

David eventually asked Morgan for her number and they talked every night. She even convinced him to go to Steak n' Shake late that Halloween night. Soon after that, they went on their first date, got lost on a hike on their second date, and made it official on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. The rest (of the 4 and half years) is history...
