Our Wedding

Evan and Morgan passed each other in the hallways of Portsmouth High School. Though they occasionally crossed paths at school events and parties, they only ever exchanged a few words. Evan graduated in 2015, Morgan in 2016, and life took them in separate directions. It wasn’t until 2019 that mutual friends began nudging them toward each other. “You need to meet Morgan,” one would say. “You’ve got to meet my buddy Evan,” said another. Both Evan and Morgan brushed it off. After all, Morgan was living in Washington State, more than 3,000 miles away. What could possibly come from meeting someone so far away? That summer, Morgan returned home for a visit, and their friends finally made the introduction happen. They spent the day with friends at Sandy Point Beach followed by dinner at a local pizzeria and then a bonfire . From morning to night, they laughed nonstop. The connection was instant, but before they knew it, Morgan was boarding her flight back to Washington. Despite the distance, Evan and Morgan began talking every day. FaceTime calls stretched for hours on end, just to see each other’s faces. Every free moment in their busy lives was treated as another opportunity to strengthen their connection. After months of constant conversation, Morgan booked another flight back to Rhode Island in March of 2020 during each of their spring breaks. They spent a week together filled with memorable dates, long walks on beautiful beaches in South County, and time at Evan’s off-campus apartment. Then, the world changed. COVID hit. While fear and uncertainty gripped the country, for Evan and Morgan, it became a blessing in disguise. Their college courses turned remote and Morgan was able to stay in RI. Isolation gave them uninterrupted time together. Every day was spent side by side deepening a bond that had only just begun. They cooked, danced, binged Netflix, and continued to enjoy the ocean and fresh air outdoors. In the quiet of lockdown, they found something extraordinary: each other.

For those traveling by air, the closest airport is Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). It’s about one hour and thirty minutes from our venue. From the airport, you’ll find plenty of transportation options including rental cars, ride-shares, and shuttles to make your trip seamless.
