Our short list of activities near Sevierville includes visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood Theme Park, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and/or the Ancient Lore Village. All of these are close to the venue.

The higher altitude Smokies will have peak fall foliage during the weekend of our wedding! You will definitely need a car rental to visit. We recommend Cade's Cove if you want a scenic drive with no hiking, and you can potentially see black bears! Our favorite waterfall hike (easy/moderate difficulty, 1 hr) is to Spruce Flats Falls. The trailhead starts at Tremont Institute. We also love driving up to Kuwohi, the highest point in the Smokies, for the amazing views. For a longer hike (3–4 hrs), hop on the Appalachian Trail at the Newfound Gap trailhead and turn around at Charlies Bunion. There are tons of trails to choose from! Admission is free, but parking is $5 per day.
People are obsessed with this place. Roller coasters, silly shows, famous cinnamon bread. This theme park is best during the holidays. Lucky for you, the wedding is near Halloween! So, expect to see lots of pumpkins.
Pigeon Forge is a tourist city between Sevierville and Gatlinburg. This is the closest attraction to our wedding venue. There's so much to do, I can't list it all here. The Island is just one place you can visit. Morgan and Amul really hate Pigeon Forge. Maybe mostly Morgan. She calls it the "scourge of capitalism." Enjoy!
If you like crowded mountain towns, this is the place for you. There's a ton of random activities---sky bridges, an aquarium ($50 per person), mountain coasters, and plenty of shops. All surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. Yay!
We haven't been, but we will one day. It looks cute! You can rent rooms here or just visit. They have (probably paid) activities. It must be cool, because the Knoxville Airport loves to advertise it!
