Sean and I met on September 22, 2019 in Sackville, New Brunswick on the back deck of my university party house that I shared with 4 other roommates. One of these roommates (Cooling) was friends with Sean and invited him and the rest of the group up to party and spend the night, because it was Mount Allison's Homecoming weekend. I thought Sean was cute and decided to flirt a little while playing the drinking game "Flip Cup" (IYKYK). We then spent the rest of the day hanging out with each other and to say Sean was enamoured... is an understatement. We began getting to know each other through conversation and meet-ups until we became official on Boxing Day 2019. Yeah... you heard it right... Boxing Day. Also, after one too many drinks at Christmas at the Chris Rock (again, IYKYK). Since then, Sean has supported me throughout my never-ending schooling, while buying his first house, renovating multiple properties, and acquiring two loving, silly dogs (Penny & Marley). We enjoy walking the dogs together, eating together, watching horror movies and true crime documentaries together, going to music festivals with our friends, traveling to NFLD to visit family, and making pancake breakfasts (from scratch!) together. We got engaged in July 2022 when Sean planned a nice trip to Nova Scotia where he rented out an AirBnB and proposed at Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. Not only was this peak tourist season, but I had explicitly stated how much I did not want an audience for my future engagement. Sean was painfully aware of this so when he saw the hundreds of tourists, he made me walk, what felt like 100 kilometres, to a rocky edge to finally pop the question. Not only was I complaining about being hungry the whole time, but severely underdressed. It was perfect!
