Summer 2016. Vine is alive, well, and filled with Harambe memes. PokemonGO has everyone putting in their steps. One Dance by Drake is playing on every radio station. Netflix’s newest show, Stranger Things, is all anyone can talk about. And, amongst it all, two college kids were forming a connection online.

Jeff, a Philadelphia native attending Temple University, and Morgan, a small-town Jersey girl going into her first year at Centenary University, were just looking for some good conversation to fill their time on a warm and sunny summer afternoon. What they ended up finding was something so much more.

They had an undeniable connection. For months, they talked daily about anything and everything. They desperately wanted to meet in person, but, with many miles separating them and no transportation, it just wasn’t possible. That is until Morgan hatched a plan…

December 2016. It’s almost New Year’s Eve and Jeff is having another one of his parties at his apartment. As always, he invited Morgan unsure if she’ll be able to find a ride, but hopeful. Back in Jersey, Morgan was on a mission to finally meet Jeff. Her best friend, Emily, was home from college and was down to go with her for moral support. Now, all she needed was a ride. So, Morgan told her mom a little white lie and said she had school friends who knew the hosts meeting her at the party. And alas, Pattie came in clutch with the transportation! (Sorry, mom! I love you<3)

Finally, on New Year’s Eve 2016, Morgan and Jeff met and it was love at first sight.

June 2017. After that magical first meeting, long distance weighed on the couple, and they drifted apart. However, fueled by the sounds of Broadside live and in person at The Stone Pony, Morgan reached back out to Jeff. They became official on June 13, 2017!

The two were inseparable. Morgan spent many hours in her new car driving back and forth to Philly almost every weekend until they moved in together in 2020!

June 13, 2023. Going on year 6 of their relationship, and Morgan was anxiously waiting for the day to come. The day when Jeff would pop the question. Over the last few years, many texts and snapchats had been sent to her friends wondering when the moment would be. Many catch up dinners with Emily spent discussing what rings she liked and how she imagined Jeff would propose.

To celebrate their 6-year anniversary, Morgan and Jeff went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was the perfect tropical getaway. Tuesday morning, their anniversary date, they decided to have a quiet breakfast on their balcony overlooking the ocean. The salty sea breeze and the serene sound of rolling waves welcomed them to another day in paradise. Little did Morgan know, the moment was here. Jeff proposed June 13, 2023.

Now. Morgan and Jeff are FINALLY getting married after dreaming of the day for years. Exactly 8 years since they became official, Morgan and Jeff will become husband and wife.

And then they will live…HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
