We first met! (Picture not available so please enjoy this one) I went to interview for a job at the hospital Noah was currently working at. I walked into the department and a coworker introduced me to him by saying, "this is Noah, he is from Texas too." I said, "oh nice, whereabout?" He responded, "Austin". I said, "oh, I'm from New Braunfels". To which he replied, "nice...Schlitterbahn." The rest was history. Just kidding...Noah had to be more persistent than any human because I, Morgan, am known to be slightly stubborn.

Our first photo AND 14er together! We summited Mt. Sherman. Since then, we have summited 26 14ers as a couple. (Talk about testing the relationship). Before this, we had only been doing a lot of smaller hikes after work. The whole time I was telling my family Noah was just a friend while Noah had other plans.

We started hanging out more and more, eventually traveling out of Colorado for longer weekend trips.
October 24, 2021
After hiking together as friends for almost six months, we finally (emphasis on finally according to Noah) went on our first date.

The more we hung out, the more we ventured out of hiking and started doing activities the other enjoyed. And by other, I, Morgan, tricked Noah into starting to run. Since then, we have done two half marathons and have already signed up for our third.

Wanting to spend more time together, we started backpacking.
Lows: We got there and the ranger told us the trailhead was 2 hours away. All our water froze overnight. We packed WAY too much so we carried HEAVY packs.
Highs: We didn't kill each other

Trying to not let winter conditions slow us down, we learned how to tolerate the cold and snow.

Howie started joining us on our hikes. We have started to master the group selfie.

Before we even started dating, Noah convinced me to join him on the Colorado Trail: A five week, 500 mile backpacking trip from Denver to Durango. Here we are a week in, loving it.

After five weeks of being alone together in the woods, we made it to Durango! A little worse for wear, we managed to push past the pain, hunger, fatigue, and stress of living in the woods as a couple who still didn't mind being with each other. We learned a lot about each other and realized, to quote my father, "we would be stupid to break up at this point." We saw the most beautiful parts of Colorado and experienced the best and worst parts of ourselves and still fell more in love.

We put down our hiking clothes for a weekend and had to figure out a way to be fancy!

ENGAGED! We hiked Mount Humphrey (the tallest peak in Arizona) that morning, got engaged that evening, and hiked Rim to Rim, down and out of the Grand Canyon the next day. If you ask Noah, he hid the engagement very well. If you ask Morgan, it was obvious. I mean come on, he wanted to buy a bottle of champagne at the grocery store...we don't really drink...

It is officially summer again which means, don't bother us, we are hiking. Our weekends involved backpacking, summiting 14ers, and sleeping in the car in a lot of parking lots (it's free).
October 07, 2023
At the beginning of August, we started our stint of doing long distance while I moved to South Dakota to go back to school.

Because of the distance, a lot of mirror selfies are exchanged.

Despite the distance, we have still found times to be together and continue living our life of adventure!
