This small town love story began around four years ago at The Portage Inn, a local hangout, where both Morgan and Jason would play pool with their respective friends. At first, Morgan was intrigued by a man who exuded so much happiness, he was known as “Smiley” because that was the expression Jason always wore. And Jason thought Morgan was too young to be in a bar because her drink of choice was always water. But eventually, as the couple began running into each other more frequently at the PI, they sparked interest in each other and Jason befriended her father. Then one day, like a gentleman, he asked to walk Morgan home and her father promptly said "no"! That did not stop Jason; he still had the courage to ask for her number, which she happily gave to him, and their love has blossomed since. Even as career opportunities pulled Morgan to Nashville, Jason knew he would follow her wherever she needed to be. That kind of commitment to each other fostered the love and trust they share today. Together, they decided their happiness would grow stronger with the love and support of their friends and family back in their home town, where their journey has led them to this moment.
