Charlie and I actually went to Orofino High School together. I was a grade above him... But let's not focus on that. If you ask Charlie, I was "too cool" for him even though we had friends in the same circle. I have photo proof if anyone needs to see it. I don't think I was "too cool" for anyone...

Fast forward 13ish years and Charlie moves in to the house next door to mine. It took about a year (I think) for me to realize who lived next door because he was literally never home during normal hours and never home on the weekends.

One day, I had a package on my porch with his name and address. I immediately recognized his name and took the package to his door. To no surprise, he wasn't home.

Charlie, however, knew I was his neighbor for a lot longer. He actually thought I was the mother of my sister, Emily (who was then pregnant with Indy), and also had a 5 year old (Addy), an 11 year old (Mayson - he was correct here), and was dating Emily's boyfriend at the time, Dyllon who is about 10 years younger than me. They had just moved back to Lewiston from Utah and stayed with me for a few months while they found a place of their own.

When the two of us met again, as neighbors, in 2022 it was because Charlie brought home two puppies. The CUTEST sister lab/pit mixes. Naturally, the first time I saw them, I had to meet them and get some puppy love! He did not have enough time on his lunch break to come home to check them at lunch so he asked if I would peek in on them when I was home to let my dogs out. Our conversations grew from there and he eventually invited Mayson and I over for dinner... The rest is kind of history.

It was a first date unlike any other! He kidnapped me and forced me to meet a WHOLE BUNCH of his friends with no way to escape for an entire night... It's a very good story and worth hearing! Also, I tell it best!
