We met second semester of freshman year, safe to say it was love at first sight. We instantly connected, chemistry was everywhere. We both attended salt company which is a student christian ministry at the University of Iowa and bonded a lot over our love for Christ and his church. TJ had gotten my number from a fellow friend and we texted constantly, until finally my best friend Gabby told him it was time to ask me out on a date, so that is exactly what he did. We went out on our first date at the Blue Tavern, we played mini golf and ate some dinner! He also took me to play with some puppies, it was the most perfect date, I had never met someone who I had so much genuine fun with, conversation never stopped, I knew he was the one! Date after date he finally asked me to be his girlfriend! Months and months of amazing times with TJ, time flew by so quickly, before we knew it, we started talking about engagement. We knew we wanted to be with each other and our love for Christ grew enormously over the course of our relationship, we knew this was the next step for us. August came around and I knew he was thinking about proposing soon, and before I knew it, he flew to Michigan and proposed to me on the beach of lake Michigan! Of course I said yes, how could I ever turn down this amazing person God graciously gave me? Here we are planning a wedding of our dreams!!
