Several months before Sophia and Devin's wedding, Devin started dropping hints to both of us about how much we would like each other. We met the night before the wedding right in front of Morissa's dad, so the conversation didn't go too far!

Our first actual conversation was at Sophia and Devin’s wedding on the dance floor! This picture was taken by friends because there were a lot of people that thought we would be a perfect match!

Matt and I had our first date in Kansas City! Since we both didn’t live there we ended up going on several dates in one weekend. It was an instant connection

The caption on this picture was "Thanks Devin!" This was because Devin did the hard work to set us up! To this day we are so thankful for our best man!

In October, Matt took Morissa to tour his favorite place, KU! Morissa got to experience a football game, Alumni band, and some of Matt's favorite places in Lawrence.

Morissa really threw Matt in there. Four months into being "official", Matt was Morissa's date to her sister, Maddie's wedding! Matt got to meet most of Morissa's extended family and friends. He got the official "passed with flying colors" by all!

Matt and Morissa got to spend their first New Year's together!

Matt finally got Morissa to south central Kansas where Matt got to show her the highlights of his hometown! From the Salt Mine to her personal favorite, Bogey's, there was no shortage of fun this weekend!

Over the next few months, Matt and Morissa really got to enjoy each others company! From Sporting KC soccer games to friends weddings, and enjoying becoming closer to each other's families, there were so many special memories made.

Matt and Morissa got to spend their one year anniversary at the Lake of the Ozarks!

After dating for over a year, Matt and Morissa decided to take a leap! Matt took his first travel job in Delray Beach, Florida and Morissa took on nannying for a few months!

For those of you that don't know, Christmas is Matt's favorite holiday! The McKenna family has some special Christmas traditions and Morissa had an absolute blast spending her first Christmas with Matt's family.

Matt and Morissa spent 5 months traveling in Atlanta! This was their first "city living experience"!

Matt, Morissa and Ellie had a beach getaway in Jekyll Island, GA! This was towards the end of living in Atlanta and such a fun weekend to relax!

On June 11th Matt asked Morissa to marry him! It was the easiest yes for Morissa.

After getting engaged at Union Station in Kansas City, Morissa's mom and brother surprised her by driving in from St. Louis! Morissa was very happy!

The McKenna family also made a drive from Hutchinson to surprise Morissa on the big day! Morissa could not have had a bigger smile on her face.
