We first knew about each other through our wonderful friend, Marisha, who seemed to think we’d make a great match. Despite that, we didnt officially connect until we both found ourselves on an Indian dating app called Mirchi. And here’s where the plot thickens...


So, we match, right? I’m all excited, thinking, “This could be something!” But then... radio silence. No messages. I was convinced that Richa ghosted me. Meanwhile, she’s off traveling around Europe like a jet-setter, and I’m over here thinking, “Wow, she didn’t even bother to say goodbye!”


Fast forward a bit, and Marisha gets wind of my confusion and says, “Wait, she did message you!” Turns out, the app had other plans and never sent me her messages. So there I was, thinking I’d been left on read, when in reality, I’d missed out on talking to her for weeks.


Needless to say, I scrambled to get her number, and the first thing I did was apologize (profusely). After clearing up that little misunderstanding, we hit it off, and well, here we are—about to get engaged!


It’s funny how a small glitch almost derailed what turned out to be the most important connection of our lives. But as they say, what’s meant to be will always find its way (even if it’s after a slight detour through Europe!).
