I (Kyle) had graduated college and moved back home to Oregon to work at the Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU in summer of 2019.

After a couple of internships at Intel, Paige finally moved up to Hillsboro, Oregon permanently as a full-time employee in January of 2020. Fortunately, we lived in the same area and attended the same church congregation.

We met at church and were slowly integrated into the same friend group. After another 6-months, in July 2020, I called to ask Paige on a date. Our first date was July 27th, 2020 disc-golfing at Stub Stewart State Park.

Several dates followed and at that time there was no significant chemistry so we decided to forgo dating and remain friends.

Going our separate ways was unfortunate but ended up being exactly what both of us needed. Various life and growth opportunities helped us learn and become more sure of what we wanted. Although we didn't date after August 2020 we still were part of the same friend group and made memories...
