Stamford Hill is blessed with a very large heimishe community, with a shul pretty much on every other corner. The Lubavitch Shul is in Beis Lubavitch (where the kabolas ponim and chuppah will bezH take place). During the week, minyanim take place in the Shul downstairs, entrance through the side gate from Northfield Road. Address: 107 - 115 Stamford Hill, N16 5RP Minyan timings: Weekday Shacharis is daily at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Weekday Mincha is daily at 6:45 PM. Weekday Ma’ariv is b'zmanoi. On Shabbos there is also a minyan upstairs in the main Shul, with a womens side. Shachris starts at 10 AM.

There are a lot of kosher grocery stores! Berry's (think Kahans) and Carmel (think Empire Kosher) are both in central Stamford Hill, near Beis Lubavitch. Closer to the Raskin's house is The Makolet, Fairview Grocers, and another Carmel. Sainsbury's and Morrisons are both big supermarkets nearby (think Walmart, but smaller and not much clothing etc). If something doesn't have a hechsher, google the name of the product on isitkosher.uk, and you will get your answer.

Listed here will be eateries in Stamford Hill: Parkside (M), Tasti Pizza (M), Presto (M), Asado (F), Deli 98 (F) Golders Green (about 45 min away via the Underground) has more. Good local bakeries include Grodzinski's, Kohns, Indigs, The Milkpod.

London has a great public transportation system, a combination of the famous double - decker red busses and the underground, lovingly dubbed 'The Tube'. The closest underground stations are Seven Sisters, on the Victoria line, and Manor House, on the Picadilly line. Feel free to use Google Maps or tfl.gov.uk to help plan your journey, just make sure you do that before you leave because there is often no service underground.
