We first met back in January of 2021 at our Bible study on a cold Wednesday night at 8:30pm. It was a virtual zoom study for those who stayed home due to COVID. We both stayed home our freshman year at Slippery Rock University, so every week at this Bible study we would be in the same small group.

Flash forward to August of 2022. Both of us were able to live on campus, which meant we started going to that very same Bible study, but instead of seeing each other behind a screen, it was now face to face. After our first semester attending that study in person, we both separately made the decision to join the Leadership Team and invest in the campus community.

Although we were both leaders on the same team, we truthfully didn't interact very much. Outside the business aspect of our Bible study and a few discussions around campus, we did not spend much time together. This is how our relationship dynamic was up until October of 2022.

One Monday changed everything in our relationship as we knew it. Myrna was sitting in the student center trying to get some homework done. Ben arrived to do work in the same area. He sat his things down and walked over to say hi. Somehow, they ended up saying hi for 5 hours.

From that moment, there was a rapid crescendo in our relationship. We wasted no time in moving our lives forward together. Starting to date on November 3rd, we spent 9 months building a deeper relationship, all while knowing what our love would become. Our individual foundations in Christ lead us to take this next step in our mutual journey of honoring God as a living sacrifice. That next step is to become Man and Wife.
