We’re heading on our honeymoon to Madrid, Seville, and Granada, Spain! This is our first time traveling to Europe together and we are so excited to finally get to do so as newlyweds. We are looking forward to spending some time lazing around the pool at our hotels, but are also looking forward to experiencing Spanish culture and connecting with each other with some special activities!

As Nadhira is an art and archaeology professor, we thought it would be wonderful to visit some cultural landmarks in Spain, including the Prado Museum in Madrid and the Alhambra Palace in Granada. (Alex majored in Spanish and the Alhambra Palace is one place he’s always wanted to visit!) We are also planning to relive one of our early dates and take a cooking class in Seville, enjoying some breath-taking views of the region, learning to make paella, and toasting with some authentic sangria.

Finally, we want to further immerse ourselves in Spanish culture by doing something completely new together and attending a Flamenco show in Seville. We have been saving up to make this honeymoon extra special, and are beyond excited to finally start our married life together!
