What should I expect to Happen in a Nikkah Ceremony?
Following traditional Islamic customs, the Imam begins the ceremony in Arabic and follows with the English translation.

The bride and groom demonstrate their free will by saying “I accept" (qabul in Arabic). Then the couple and two male witnesses sign the contract, making the marriage legal according to religious law.
