Our Wedding

We both graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1998. Back then, we knew of each other—we had mutual friends—but our paths never truly crossed. Nadia lived on campus, while George (aka Premo) lived off-campus, and though we were in the same spaces, we never really connected. After graduation, life took us in different directions. Years passed, and then—of all places—we reconnected on Facebook. At first, it was just occasional likes and casual comments, nothing more… until one evening changed everything. On April 21, 2023, Nadia was relaxing at home when a Facebook message popped up: “Hi, Nadia, how are you?” It was from Premo. Curious, she replied—and the conversation started flowing. At one point, she was so surprised by the unexpected message that she wondered if it might be a scam. She threw out a few questions to confirm his identity. He passed with flying colors, but she still was not convinced, “I’m reporting this account!” “Noooo, it’s really me!” he replied. Soon after, we exchanged numbers, and our chats turned into long, meaningful phone calls—sometimes lasting for hours. Our first date was dinner at The Blue Dolphin, and from that night on… something just clicked. Within six months, we were pretty much inseparable. We may have missed each other the first time around—but this time, the timing was perfect.
