Our Wedding

God is Dope

Najiwa (Naj) & MameXaali (Doc, X, and whatever other names people like to call him lol) met in 2020 on X’s Birthday at a mutual friend’s house party (whom he shares a birthday with). Before Naj headed out for the night, X approached her asking where she got her “God is Dope” hat because he liked it and wanted to purchase one. Naj told him she could send it to him via Instagram, which of course then gave him a way to contact her in the future.  Other than liking photos and general DM convos, The two never directly connected again until April 2021, when X worked up the nerve to ask for Naj’s number. He then asked her on their first date, April 19, 2021. From that point on the two never missed one day of talking to one another and truly grew as best friends and connected over their love for wine, food, their optimistic outlook on life and spontaneous adventures!  On March 5, 2022, the two made it “official” when X TOLD Naj that she was his girlfriend. The couple spent 2022 growing their foundation and doing their favorite things together; watching scary movies, exploring different wines and traveling (Mexico and DR just to name a few).  In early 2023, they found out they were expecting their first child together. Naj had a wonderful, healthy pregnancy which allowed them to continue their travels. In June, with close friends they traveled to Italy for a beautiful extended trip to Venice, Rome and the Amalfi Coast in which the couple planned to do their gender reveal. To Naj’s surprise during their gender reveal in Amalfi Coast, Italy, MameXaali popped the question with the most beautiful natural scenery as their background! Naj & MameXaali welcomed their healthy, beautiful baby girl, Kyomi Iman on 10/23/23.  The couple prides themselves on truly being best friends as well as their genuine loving and affectionate nature towards one another and above all, their healthy communication skills. Shoutout to “God is Dope” for being what brought us together and shoutout to God for forever being our 3rd strand! 1 Corinthians 13:4-8  We can’t wait for you all to join us in celebrating our life long journey of continued Love, fun and Traveling! While we would absolutely love to have all of our loved ones Celebrate our big day with us. That unfortunately will not be possible due to the spacing of the venue we selected (we all know Naj is very specific with what she wants). However, there’s great news! We would still love for you to join us on the resort for a good, fun vacation and other festivities surrounding our big day. With that being said, not everyone will receive an invitation to the Wedding ceremony. Invitations will be directly addressed to Individuals and Spouses (no plus 1s will be permitted to the Wedding Ceremony/Reception). All are welcome to follow the details on our website to book & join us in Antigua for some fun in the sun!
