Thinking about my story makes me believe in the quote, “Everything is predetermined.”

It all happened when my friends introduced me to Nalin. I wasn’t even serious about going out that evening and had barely put in the effort to get ready. I just thought it would be a casual dinner.

When I first saw Nalin, I liked that he was tall and good-looking. I didn’t really talk to him that night; I was a bit hesitant to speak informally. However, we exchanged numbers.

Over time, we met frequently and got to know each other better. Then, one day, Nalin confessed that he saw his future with me and introduced me to his parents.

What I love about Nalin is that he’s a gentleman—self-disciplined, witty, incredibly sweet, and someone who truly believes in good karma. I feel safe around him because he’s the kind of person who would never intentionally hurt anyone. These are exactly the qualities I was looking for in a husband.

And the best part? I met him when I was least expecting it.

Now, I completely believe in destiny, good karma, and the beauty of life’s surprises. I can’t wait to start my life with Nalin and experience everything the future holds—with all of your blessings.

From the moment I laid my eyes on Simran I felt something special about her.

I was introduced to Simran through my best friend, Summy and his wife Mona. We went to a house party where everyone knew everyone except I did not know Simran and Simran did not know me. A lot of butterflies in my stomach that night but I pulled it together somehow and by the end of the night we exchanged numbers (thanks to Simran building the courage to take my number).

The next morning I woke up and quickly reached out to her wanting to get to know her, so we planned a date that evening. I definitely came off strong that night but in my defence I did not want to let go of someone so special and perfect!

Later, did I find out that my forwardness that night did not work out well but if anyone knows me, they know I am quite persistent and so I pursued more dates with Simran. Thankfully, she found something in me to keep going on dates with me and as time progressed we got to know each other a lot better.

From the beginning, I fell in love with her smile and the more I got to know her, the more I envisioned her by my side for the rest of my life.

Qualities that she had was all what I was looking for from spiritual to strong Hindu traditional beliefs and practices to a strong head on her shoulders. She is compassionate and patient and very caring and I felt that by the second date.

So as the dates continued I finally went on a 2 day water fast (precisely 63 hours) and I got such great mental clarity that by the end of my water fast I looked myself in the mirror and had this profound feeling that she was the one!

That same week I took it upon myself to move forward and ask her hand in marriage! Thank God she said yes and here we are now planning our wedding!

I am so grateful to have met her and to have her by my side for the rest of my life! I could not ask for anyone better and I know I must have done something very good in my past life to deserve such a beautiful, loving and caring woman to be called “my wife”.
