Our love story began like any other modern day love story. Just two strangers swiping on Bumble.
Chase's profile caught Nancy's eye because he had listed he was an ambitious nerd who liked to work out and cook delicious food. His beautiful blue eyes seemed kind and his charming, alluring smile caught her attention. He also happened to have a nose ring at the time and that was intriguing to Nancy. Perhaps a little bit of a bad boy? She checked out his page a couple times. Somewhat nervous to reach out.
Nancy, on the other hand, caught his attention immediately. With her beautiful brown eyes and a beaming smile, she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever laid eyes on. She was clearly the life of the party and knew how to be goofy and fun. AND she looked to have some nerdy tendencies herself! Who would've thought this bright-eyed beauty was a Slytherin??
And so.... he swiped right and waited for a match.
And waited.
And WAITED.
Finally! Nancy swiped right on Chase's profile. The funny thing about Bumble is that the female has to message the male within 24 hours of matching or they lose the connection.
So Chase waited some more AGAIN (a very patient man indeed)
Maybe she just didn't see that they had both swiped right on eachother and were a confirmed match?
So, after no message from Nancy, he took what felt like a desperate longshot and extended their match after it was minutes from expiring.
Almost 23 excruciating hours later, with less than an hour to seal the deal, Nancy finally struck up a conversation.
When Nancy saw that Chase had extended their connection, she took that as a clear sign that he wanted to talk to her and was interested in her. That made Nancy curious. At this point, she had nothing to lose. Maybe he's a nice guy!
After messaging on the app for a day or two, they exchanged phone numbers. They would text all day long and talk on the phone for hours. No seriously...
One evening they spent 9 hours on the phone just laughing and chatting. It was clear to both of them that the connection they felt was something different and special.
Those feelings proved to be a fraction of what they would come to mean to one another. In the best times and in the harder times, they always had one another's backs. They loved deeply, laughed often, and lived for one another each day.
They also met friends along the way, friends who would support them and add to their happy life. And that is exactly what each one of you are: a friend or loved one whose company is valued and who's presence will only make our special day even MORE special!
