It all started with a swipe right…What began as a simple Tinder match quickly turned into something neither of us expected. Our first date was meant to be casual, but from the moment we met, conversation flowed effortlessly. We talked, laughed, and lost track of time—realizing something special was unfolding right in front of us.That first date took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Nancy invited Skyler to play golf at the Tavern bar in downtown Kenosha, even though Skyler had never played before (unless a few trips to Top Golf count). What started as a fun and slightly nerve-wracking game turned into a ten-hour date filled with connection, curiosity, and the unmistakable feeling that neither of us wanted the night to end.At the time, Skyler was living in Iowa, and our love story quickly became a long-distance one. For two years, we made miles disappear through weekend visits, long phone calls, and a shared commitment to making our relationship work. Distance only strengthened our bond, teaching us patience, trust, and how deeply we wanted to build a life together.Eventually, Skyler made the move to Wisconsin, and we took our next big step by moving in together in an apartment in Union Grove. Over the next two years, we created a home filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and the quiet comfort of everyday life. From there, we knew it was time for something even bigger—buying our first home together in Genoa City, Wisconsin, where we continued building the life we had always imagined.In May 2025, during a family vacation to North Carolina, Nancy asked Skyler to marry her on a beach—right in the middle of a hailstorm. It was unexpected, unforgettable, and perfectly us. Surrounded by love, laughter, and a little wild weather, it was the easiest “yes” we’ve ever said.What started with a swipe has become a deep love, a true partnership, and a forever we can’t wait to continue—hand in hand, side by side, and always choosing each other.
