Our Wedding

Nannette and Hunter met the fall of their freshman year of college in 2018. Nannette needed a date to her sorority's semi-formal dance, and Hunter happened to be paired with Nannette's pledge sister for a dance competition. This sorority sister asked if he would attend the event with Nannette, to which he swiftly responded yes and they began the process of getting to know each other through Snapchats and text messages. The happy couple did not meet each other in person for the first time until the night before the event!Following the semi-formal, the two remained in constant contact and began dating shortly thereafter. Hunter and Nannette have seen each other through multiple graduations, leadership positions, family deaths, moves, long distance, and other major life events over the past almost 8 years together. They feel as though being through these events together has strengthened their relationship, and they are excited to see what their future holds.

This location is about 30 minutes from the venue, but in a great area for activities such as dining, shopping, and general exploring.

This is the hotel that is blocked as a courtesy for out of town guests. Other hotel accommodations are available in the area as well.

Henmother Cookhouse is one of Nannette and Hunter's favorite places to eat! It has delicious breakfast and lunch options, all made from scratch in the kitchen. Henmother has 2 locations - one in Alpharetta and one in Johns Creek. The Alpharetta location is located in the downtown area around different stores and coffee shops for extra activities.

Hen Mother Cookhouse - Alpharetta

This is a great place to shop, eat, and walk around! There is a variety of different cuisines to choose from as well as a number of different stores. Nannette's younger brother, John Jr., is interning at the Avalon Hotel in the fall of 2026, so you can also look around to see where he will be working!

Avalon

This is one of Nannette and Hunter's favorite coffee shops! The owner, Shelby, is very personable and has a wide variety of coffees, teas, sodas, and food items to choose from. It is also located right down the road from Nannette's parents' home.
