Our love story began many years ago back in 2008. Matt first met Naomi at a mutual friends’ birthday party. Just a few short months later Matt convinced Naomi to take her out on their first date. To keep things light the two went to a comedy show and then grabbed a drink afterwards at a local restaurant. They both were smitten kittens from there on out. Many people have teased Matt about when he would pop the question and he often told them good things take time. The two both have a love for traveling and be it to tropical sandy beaches or 18th century castles in the hillsides they have visited places near and far. Since good things take time then GREAT things take years. Fast forward 12 blissful years later… after countless Caribbean beaches and stays at European villas Matt was prepared to pop the question but Naomi had other plans. A once in a lifetime moment on a once in a lifetime trip to the Amalfi coast of Italy. Matt had devised a fairytale proposal just off the coast of Capri at sunset. Just one thing slipped by him….Naomi. The day before his planned proposal Naomi slipped at the beach and broke her arm rather traumatically. Since Naomi does not do anything small it took a boat ride, an ambulance ride, a taxi ride, a 4- hour car ride and then a trans-atlantic airplane flight to arrive at MassGeneral Hospital.&nbsp;Matts proposal was put on hold. Five months later, Naomi’s arm still in cast, the couple decided to take to the air and travel again. This time to Belize, where the beaches are soft sand and rainforest waterfalls are sparkling. Matt knew packing the ring in his backpack for now a second trip through the airport and foreign customs meant when they arrived in Belize he must not waste any time. On a beautiful hike through the rainforest at a water fall just outside of Placencia, Belize Matt took to one knee and asked his princess to be his forever. Of course, after just 12 short years she said YES! We are so excited to have you all share in our wedding day and celebrate our love!
