Josh and Naomi "officially" met in 2010 when Naomi went to Dinsmore school for her grade 6 year. Josh and Naomi had previously known of one another through sports. They played hockey against one another, as Naomi played for Conquest and Josh played for Dinsmore. Naomi blames her track and field high jump failure in her grade 6 year on the fact that Josh was running the high jump station and she was too nervous to fully participate. This was the first time Naomi developed a crush on Josh. Josh and Naomi then played on the same provincial hockey team, and played soccer together as well. In the summer of 2012, Josh and Naomi decided to act on their young love, and they dated for about 2 months. In these two months, they both went camping at the Landing, went to the Ex in Saskatoon together, and then broke up right before school started back up. Depending on who you ask, the story of why they broke up changes. Naomi and Josh laid their love to rest while they went through high school and university, but once they completed their university degrees they both moved back home. In the summer of 2020, they rekindled their relationship through their friends on a camping trip back at the Landing, where it all started. Josh and Naomi now live together in Dinsmore, SK with their dog Nala. Josh farms with his family and Naomi currently teaches grade 5 at Outlook Elementary School.
