Our Wedding

This love story begins in Toledo, Ohio in 2021. Naomi was in her fourth year of medical school training at St. Vincent Medical Center. Jared, a 2016 University of Toledo graduate, had just moved back to the city. He was previously living in Bloomington, Indiana, where he worked as an engineer for Cook Medical. He was excited to be closer to friends and family after the pandemic. In true millennial fashion, Naomi and Jared had briefly explored dating apps during this time. They were old souls at heart though. Neither of them lasted very long in the virtual dating scene and they had both deleted the apps. However, there was one person who caught Jareds eye, so he decided to leave his number with a short, sweet, intentional message, hoping she would see it eventually and reach out. That special person was Naomi, and she did reach out just a couple of weeks later. At last, the stars have aligned! What started off as a long phone call full of excitement and rich discussion turned into a lovely first date over coffee. They shared a couple of cortados and many laughs. After a long hug, they decided enthusiastically to extend their date into lunch! Soon after, Naomi met Harley (Jareds dog for 11 years at the time), and he was quick to know who mama was. He loved Naomi immediately and Jared took special note. From that day forward, their beautiful love continued to blossom each day over walks with Harley, fun nights out with friends, stay-at-home date nights making dinners together, and quality time connecting over shared creative interests, intellectuality, and spirituality. In 2022, Naomi started her residency in Columbus, Ohio. Not long after, Jareds lease was up in Toledo, and they made the decision to move in together. They found a very cute single-family home on a cul-de-sac that they could rent for a couple of years. Then, in August 2023, Jared had Naomis friends and family come to their house while he took her on a date at a local Metropark (which Jared arranged to be set up with the help of her co-resident and bridesmaid, Bailey White, DO). Naomi, Jared, and Harley shared a little picnic while they each painted the natural scenery. Jared had Naomi turn over her canvas to find a picture taken of Harley with a sign that read, Mama, will you marry Dad? Love, Harley written on it. Thats when Jared got on one knee to ask Naomi to be his partner in life, infinitely and always in love. When they arrived home after the picnic and proposal, Naomi was surprised to see several of her friends and family ready to celebrate with a spectacular backyard dinner (which Jared had also planned with the help of Naomis little sister, Courtney Kasturiarachi - she flew in from Baltimore to lead the set up and beautifully cooked and prepared the entire delicious dinner). This cherished day was filled with boundless love and laughter. Naomi and Jared are both beyond excited to join together as life partners. They are honored and grateful for you to witness and celebrate their love!
