David and Naomi met when David selected Naomi's school to implement a tutoring and mentoring program for boys through his fraternity. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

They did not know this then, but they were making memories to look back on as they embark on their life long journey. Fun Fact: Naomi framed this photo and kept it in her home all of these years, not knowing that David would be her husband one day.

David reached out to Naomi to see if her nephew Leolani would be interested in participating in his Moonshot program. Little did he know he was already building a rapport and relationships with the fam!

Naomi and David share a mutual friend that has know both of them for several years. Funny how everyone is connected!

Naomi brought David a plate of food for Thanksgiving and ended up staying and hanging out so he did not spend the holiday alone. This was the beginning of what would become more than friends.

David asked Naomi to accompany him to his Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated Founders Day.

David accompanied Naomi to go see her sisters play and met more of her family. At this point they were inseparable and being on the holiday break didn't help!

Family Dinners! David officially was accepted into the family once everyone cracked some jokes with him over dinner right before the holidays.

David and Naomi brought in the new year with intention, love, peace and companionship.

They decided to create a new tradition as a foundation of their new relationships. Every year on January 1st they will go to a local book store and purchase a book they will plan to read that year.

First Sunday of the year, first Sunday of the month. First time going to church together, first time taking communion together and they established that David likes to dance and sing while Naomi just wants to get to the word. 2 opposites attract!

They spend their time finding common interest and committed to dating even when they are old and married. David BARELY won on this day. Mostly because Naomi let him.

They are both dancers! Well not really- Naomi only likes to Salsa dance. David and Naomi took several sessions to learn a new skill together that they both can enjoy. Especially in Puerto Rico!

Beer and Wine - They will have a good time!

Yoga for another round. This was a date planned by David at a local farm.

TRAVEL! When you don't have kids, you have funds and time to travel- so they did!

If you know David, he loves to fish. Naomi and David chartered a boat in Tampa (on one of the coldest days - how, no clue) and each caught fish.

Naomi and David started traveling back and forth from Denver to Florida (where Naomi lived)

David met Naomi's best friend and her fiancé : Janay & Bryan

David met more of Naomi's crew in Tampa, her good friends Sala and Sherri!

Naomi originally planned to move back to Denver and reside with David. However, David seen how much Naomi loved Tampa after all of their trips. So they decided to buy a home in Tampa.

Barbara Lee (our home) was purchased and they named it the Rouge Ranch!

Rouge Ranch is on 1.5 acres in Florida where David and Naomi envisioned themselves living a life of peace with a little bit of country. The best of both worlds.

Naomi and David set across the country with a 26 foot truck (David drove) and her Dodge pick up with Kiwi in the back! It took them 2.5 days to complete the move and arrive at what they would now call home.

This was Naomi and Davids first night in the house (peep the bed in the kitchen). They were exhausted and were ready to have a drink and go to bed after all that driving!

Naomi and David celebrated their new milestone by inviting both sides of the family to the house warming of Rouge Ranch!

Everybody met everybody and the two families came together as one.

Shortly after the housewarming, Naomi and David flew to Puerto Rico for a quick get away and well, you know what happened......

David popped the question! and Naomi said YES!!
