Who knew handing someone a beer for a good cause would start a whole new chapter for our life. We met at the cancer crawl in 2022 and began talking after Nataleigh handed Clayton a beer from her purse that she took from the previous stop. Nataleigh couldn't see wasting a beer when some were left from the previous stop, so she did what she used to do in college after concerts. She put the extras in her bag for the next stop.

At the third stop the line to turn in our group’s tickets for the next round of beers was long. We started talking and getting to know each other while enjoying a beer, not waiting in line like everyone else. By the end of the crawl, we went to dinner and made plans to go on a date just the two of us. The funny thing is neither of us were going to go to the cancer crawl that day. Both made a last-minute decision to attend, so maybe fate is real...
