Tecpan is located 35 mi from Guatemala City. In the local language, it means Villa of Gods or house of royalty. It was the first capital of the Country, led by the Kaqchikel Kingdom. The area has a chilly climate because of its altitude, forests, and mountains surrounding it. Tecpan is also known as Guatemala's Gastronomy route since you can find over 50 restaurants on a 14 km stretch of the Inter-American Highway.
This year, 2024 the town has turned 500 years old, making it the oldest city in Central America! Join us at my uncle and aunt's hacienda and let us welcome you properly to Guatemala with a brunch at the top of the mountains of Tecpan!

After the wedding
Panajachel, Lago de Atitlan
After the wedding the bride and groom would love for you to come along and continue the celebration with their families and friends and relax at one of the most famous and beautiful lakes in Guatemala, Lago de Atitlan. Surrounded by Mayan villages, beautiful volcanoes and in a volcanic crater, this lake will leave you speechless. We would love for you to discover more of what Guatemala has to offer! Join us on an adventure and relax for a few more days with us in the small town of Panajachel. We will be leaving early Monday morning on a bus we will be renting from Antigua and coming back Wednesday at dawn (5/6am) in order for everyone to get to the airport on time. This will only work out if your flight is after 11:00AM on Wednesday. (We can possibly accommodate Tuesday night transfers straight to Guatemala City airport - we just need confirmation on flights and who's joining) Please text the bride or groom for more information.
