Back in 2014, on a cold February night, Natalie decided to go out for drinks with some friends she used to work with. One of those friends was Frank, who also happened to be Devry’s friend from high school. Devry asked Frank what he was doing that night, and Frank told him he was out with some friends and to come meet up with us. That’s when Natalie and Devry met. But what did Devry do after that? He sat across the bar by himself with a drink in hand (none of us are really sure why he did that), and glanced at Natalie every few minutes. Devry eventually made his way over and started talking to Natalie. We all went to a different bar shortly after, where Natalie and Devry sat at a table by themselves and got to know each other a little bit. Natalie wasn’t really interested in Devry at the time, and was enjoying the single life. So was Devry. However, Devry decided to tell Natalie he lost his phone and asked to borrow Natalie’s phone to call his (yup, she fell for this cheesy move big time), and now Devry had Natalie’s phone number. They texted each other for about a week, but Natalie stopped answering. Devry stopped texting. Then, Natalie thought, “let me give this guy a chance, we’ll see what happens.” Since Natalie and Devry talked baseball when they first met, Natalie decided to text Devry and say, “Did you hear about Derek Jeter retiring?!” Yup, a cheesy move again, except this time it was Natalie. A few days later, Natalie was hanging out at Frank’s house with friends and along came Devry after he got out of work, with a single rose from 7-11 for Natalie. She thought it was cute and everyone around them did as well, considering the “Awwwwww’s!” that filled the room.

Fast forward 10 years later, Devry and Natalie have grown up together and have proved to each other what a best friend and partner in life truly means. They went from kids in their twenties without a care in the world, to parents of their beautiful baby girl Ariya Rose!

Most importantly… Natalie found someone who is always up for a weird Halloween adventure and loves spooky season *almost* as much as she does.
