They crossed paths many times but never knew it.
It was the summer of 2016 and both Natalie and Levi stayed in Amherst for the summer. As fate would have it Natalie moved into the unit above him.
Natalie got right to work making herself comfortable, sweeping and dusting up and down the stairs.
Levi heard a ruckus and wondered what this commotion was, so he found an excuse to walk outside. “What’s going on out here?!” The two locked eyes and time froze. Immediately they began talking like they had always known each other and both wondered the same thing: “what are the odds?”
These love birds tried to play it cool, but from that day forward the two found every excuse they could to cross paths.
Natalie must have recycled 100 individual cardboard pieces that next week so she could walk by. And any time Levi was home he insisted on leaving his front door wide open, “for airflow”.
Although they may have tried to deny it, the two were head over heels.
Before long the two were together and enjoyed their final year of undergrad at UMass before Natalie went off to Veterinary school in Ohio.
Levi stayed at UMass to finish his grad studies. Boy did distance make the heart grow fonder.
To help keep her company, Natalie started their pet family with two cats, Leo and Luna, who became her favorite study buddies.
Finally, the couple was reunited when Levi landed a sales job in the midwest and took the prime opportunity to be with Natalie while she finished her schooling.
Ready to start their own life together, they moved to northwestern Vermont in 2021 where Natalie began her Veterinary career and Levi continued his career in the cannabis industry.
Now after almost three years of being Vermonters, the two are business owners and have planted their roots. They also expanded their family to include Cosmo, an insane puppy who keeps them busy and constantly entertained.
