We grew up in different states, living separate lives that never would’ve crossed paths—until they did. What began as a chance conversation about van life and homesteading quickly turned into something neither of us expected. Early on, Natalie was convinced Spencer could help her buy land and boldly demanded his number. During those first weeks of texting, Spencer sent her a picture of his favorite fish—a small, earnest moment that somehow said a lot about who he was.

From there, time together came easily. Long walks turned into paddleboarding and hiking, and those shared experiences slowly built something deeper. Our relationship grew not just through adventure, but through a shared love for God and a desire to keep Him at the center of our lives. Not long after Spencer helped Natalie move, she officially became his girlfriend—proof that sometimes love shows up in very practical ways.

After a year of dating, conversations about the future naturally led to marriage. On the Fourth of July—under a sky full of fireworks—Spencer proposed, and we stepped into this next season with full hearts and deep certainty.
