Hank and I matched on the dating app, Hinge September 24th, 2021 where we talked for a couple weeks before meeting. Our first date was October 3rd at Savannah River Brewing in Augusta, GA. (That's my first date outfit, just an hour before meeting Hank.) After talking for hours we decide to do have part II of our date at the Pizza Joint, turning an afternoon of beers into a full blown dinner with dessert. Weeks of dates later we discovered we didn't want to be with anyone else, thus starting our journey.

In December 2021, Hank met the Eckhardt's for the first time when he flew to Oregon.

Several months later in March 2022, Hank moved in with me and we got our dog Ellie.

Starting us on our beautiful journey...

February 2023 Hank and I were staying 2 nights in Folly Beach, SC before picking Nate and Beth Eckhardt up from the Airport for a visit.

On our second night there February 17th, Hank asked me to walk down to the beach before dinner to check the surf. It was sunset and Hank said he saw a shell earlier that I had to have. While I watched the sunset, Hank wrote "Will you marry me?" in the sand. I turned around and saw him down on one knee, a Salt and Pepper diamond in his hand without a shell. In my excitement I stepped towards him, steeping on his message. He pointed out the message and I jumped back apologizing. He asked me to marry him and I said, "Yes." He asked, "Are you sure?" and all my brain could come up with was, "I think so."
