Beatrice Everett of Waynesboro announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Natalie Shavon Everett, to Dr. Carlton James Chisom, Jr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Chisom, Sr., of Winston-Salem, N.C.
The bride-elect was born in Sandusky, Ohio and raised in Waynesboro. She attended William Carey University, earning a Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Prior to that, she attended the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is currently employed with Georgia State University, where she has served as an Academic Advisor since 2017.
The prospective bridegroom was born in Fayetteville, N.C. and raised in Winston-Salem, N.C. A Veteran of the United States Air Force, he attended A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, earning a Doctor of Health Science degree with a certificate in Global Health. Prior to that, he earned his Masters of Public Health degree from Florida International University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He currently serves as a Public Health Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), where he's been employed since 2015.
The couple will exchange wedding vows and become Dr. and Mrs. Chisom during a Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 ceremony before friends and family at the Waynesboro City Auditorium.
