Our favorite local beaches are Windansea, Marine Street beach, La Jolla shores, and Blacks Beach, all located in La Jolla

Pacific beach also has a fun boardwalk with lots of beach space, and close by restaurants

A close by scenic hike is Torrey Pines located on a state reserve and about a 15 minute drive north of La Jolla. Another great but more challenging hike is Saigon trail

For more of a leisurely stroll, try the La Jolla Coast Walk trail, which can be accessed by walking from La Valencia

Depending on how long you are in town, Coronado is a popular location to visit (and also where Tommy and I live)

There are tons of beaches, restaurants (The Henry, Chez Loma, Brigantine, The Boathouse to name a few of our favorites), shopping, and activities to do on Coronado

The Hotel Del is located on Coronado and is a beautiful landmark to explore and walk through
