The Story of Us

Nick and I became friends in high school when we both worked in a dining room at a local retirement community. He was so kind, so funny, and I just loved being around him. In 2013, during our spring semester of freshman year of college, we officially began dating. Nick finished up his freshman and sophomore years at Plymouth State University, while I drove up about once a month from Stratham to visit him. Junior year of college, Nick transferred to UNH, and we both graduated from UNH in 2016. After graduation, I moved to Somerville, Massachusetts, where Nick would visit every other weekend. We had a blast exploring my new neighborhood. A few years after finishing undergrad, we both decided we wanted to go back to school. In the fall of 2019, Nick began law school at UNH Law, and I traveled to London to pursue my master's degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Three years, and lots of long nights studying later, Nick graduated from law school. That summer he took and passed the bar! Since finishing school, Nick has been working as an Assistant County Attorney in Carrol County and most recently in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. I've been working in government consulting doing work with the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, and currently the National Science Foundation. In the spring of 2022, Nick and I moved into our first apartment in Dover, New Hampshire with our cat Jack. It was our first time living together, and so much fun starting a new chapter of our lives! Dover really started to feel like home to us, and so in October 2024, we bought our first home here! It's close to a lot of our family and friends, and we've been loving life as homeowners. I am not a concise person, so I could never begin to try and sum up what our life has been like since we met. Between April 2013 and now, we've graduated college, grad school, and law school, taken trips, moved into our first apartment together, bought our first home, eaten dinners at home and at our favorite restaurants, watched endless amounts of our favorite shows, laughed, smiled, gotten engaged, and spent precious time with the people (and pets) that we love. Sharing the past 10+ years with Nick has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I am so excited for what's next. It's been a long time coming.
