Once upon a time

In two different places,

There met a boy and girl

With smiles on their faces.

Through Upward they spoke,

And together they planned

To shorten the distance

And visit each other's lands.

With every visit,

Their hearts grew and grew

With love for one another.

So what was there to do?

Well, Boy bought a ring

And took Girl to the river

To ask her one question

And hope for her answer.

He vowed to protect her

And that nothing would get

Between them as long as

Her answer was "yes."

Through tears and laughter,

"Yes" escaped Girl's lips,

Setting them up

For perpetual bliss.

And here we are now,

In this story of our hearts.
